Roaming! - I-City, Shah Alam

Hello..wassup homosapien! Macam lama gila x update blog..hehe~ Dalam mood x brapa nak rajin..banyak kerja and so many other things to settle (x settle down properly lagi at rumah baru). Plus x banyak benda menarik pon nak update here. Our monthly road-trip kena hold sebab mereka-mereka sibuk dengan training taekwando for MASUM (all the best ha korang..kick 'em ass nice!), plus Merl already balik Sabah.. (uhuks..sedeyyyy~). Anyhow, I still got some roadtrip plans with the Squash Devil group, tinggal nak carry out the plan jer. Who is the Squash Devil? Nantilah cerita ha..sebab dalam entry kali ne, saye nak inform readers about this not so-discreet place named I-CITY. Last Friday, I went  there with my two bestfwen during zaman matriks, Jaja and Piya. The place is situated at Seksyen 7, Shah Alam (nearby back-entrance of UiTM Shah Alam) and is damn easy to reach. If you guys wanna go there, just follow the Federal Highway and after Batu 3 tol, watchout for the I-City/UiTM signage. Exiting the highway, ada traffic light and you have to turn right. Here you will see the back entrance of UiTM and turn left at the next traffic light. I-City is just around the corner. The place is obviously noticable from the road as it is boody bright with light! Hee~ Got the idea?

Kitorang gerak from Sunway at 9.30pm. A bit lewat sebab J and P was from KL and as predicted, every highway from KL is packed and jammed. From Sunway to Shah Alam is just around 20mins and the road is smooth. Sampai-sampai at I-City, jadi blur pulak sebab x taw mana nak park kereta. So we just parked at parking lot and walked to the roof-top. Sebab lif ada satu jer, plus yang nak naik lif tuh ramai, we decided to climb up using the staircase. Tabah gila..dah lah sy pakai heels masa tuh. Huh! Redah jer lah kan..hehehe. Sesampai di atas..wahhhh~ chantek betol! Lampu-lampu menghiasi pokok, ada pokok christmas and show room penuh dengan lampu-lampu, ikot tema perayaan utama at Malaysia such as Gong Xi Fa Chai, Christmas and Hari Raya. Very Interesting! Walk around the I-City and you will see that the landscape are decorated by lights and light and MORE LIGHTS..hence, it is known as lightscape. It is quite popular as tourist attraction and for those who like to do photography shoot.

There are nightmarket, selling stuff like tudung, food and drinks, lighted toys and lighted hairband with varied decoration. I found that the hairband is quite interesting but sensible enough not to buy any of it. Hee~ But then I bought a joker hat, with little bells dangling at it's every edge (macam nak gi tengok bola plak dah..) which I found very interesting (macamlah beli topi neh sensible sangat..ahaks!). Actually kalo datang sini, semata-mata nak tengok lampu jer lah. Jalan-jalan..tengok gelagat orang. After a while macam boring pulak. Sambil-sambil jalan, I was wondering what I-City really is? X kan lah semata-mata lighscape jer kan.. After Google-ing and doing some research, I found out that I-City is an office during the day (duhh..~) and lightscape at night.

This is not any ordinary office, I-City (also known as, City of Digital Light) offers a high-tech services in terms of information and telco services. There are office rooms and meeting rooms for rental with state of the art decoration. The current I-City is not yet completed, a second phase is yet on the way of being build..so expect more lightscape in the future. Canggih memang canggihla..kena tengok dia punya plan baru akan ternganga..awesome habis! For the light, LED is used as the source of light to decorate the landscape. Apart from emitting low glare of light, it is also known to consume low power. So the usage of LED is practical in lighting the whole city. We don't want to further depleting our source of fossil fuel in order to light the silly landscape for the selfish and non-beneficial purpose right? Yeah. That's what I thought. Overall, in my point of view, the lightscape is a waste of good electricity and power. What with the current issues of depletion of fossil fuel and the frustrating research on finding a better alternative for fossil fuel..we need to save the energy for better purpose, like lighting homes and powering industrial need (it is afterall one of the contributor to our economic growth) and for the car, unless the society is keen in applying solar energy to generate the electricity usage of their home and using hybrid car for their ride (or use the lousy public transportation). I don't think so. Hehehe~ X bleh lah depend semata-mata at hydro energy sebab, newsflash Malaysian : empangan hydro kita pon dah makin kering and no, most of the electricity yang kita guna, is not generated by hydro energy (macam yang kita belajar dekat sekolah dulu). It is generated by power plant which is powered by fossil fuel (which you guys known as..petroleum). Anyway, this is just my opinion, coming from an Energy Technology student non-so-intelligent thoughts. Yours might differs from mine.. =)

So, if you guys wanna go out and have fun with your friends, family and love ones, bleh lah datang ke sini. Amek-amek gambar..lari-lari celah pokok LED. At least if orang tanya about I-City, you can proudly say "been there!". And please, store some knowledge about I-City in your empty brain. Malu lah if orang tanya..I-City tuh ape..and you'll go like.."err..landscape yang ada lampu?" or "tempat yang chantek nak amek gambar..". Duhh..~ C'mon, you are better than that. Hehehe~ For more info on I-City, you guys can visit their official website and explore the city's purpose for yourself. Have fun!

Owh yeah..when you guys pergi I-City, jangan lupa beli topi macam saye neh..Hee~
Cheers! *wink*
