Good deeds, In-genuosity and The Return

6 p.m

Did you ever do good deeds and somehow, expected something in return? I believe some of you do, even if you don't, eventually you will. Because we are just human being, we are not perfect.. and somehow we just couldn't help expecting something in return. That is normal, but then try to restraint the expectation by doing good deeds in Allah SWT name. Insya-Allah, you will understand better and willing to give and do more good deeds. When your life kinda sux a bit, always remember, good people are always tested by Allah SWT. Because Allah SWT loves you and He will not test you beyond your strength. It is because you are special and Allah SWT wants you to be better. If ever you feel like, you have given a lot in terms of doing good deeds but seems not to received anything in return, remember, a true Muslim must always do good and never expect any worldly gains in return. Have a read of what Allah SWT said in these excerpt from Holy Al-Quran..

"Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, And have in their minds No favour from anyone For which a reward Is expected in return, But only the desire To seek for the Countenance Of their Lord Most High; And soon will they Attain (complete) satisfaction."
(The Noble Quran, 92:18-21)

"O my people! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him who created me: Will ye not then understand?"
(The Noble Quran, 11:51)

"Obey those who ask no reward of you (for themselves), and who have themselves received Guidance"
(The Noble Quran, 36:21)

"Those who spend their substance in the cause of God, and follow not up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury,-for them their reward is with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve"
(The Noble Quran, 2:262)

"O ye who believe! cancel not your charity by reminders of your generosity or by injury,- like those who spend their substance to be seen of men, but believe neither in God nor in the Last Day. They are in parable like a hard, barren rock, on which is a little soil: on it falls heavy rain, which leaves it (Just) a bare stone. They will be able to do nothing with aught they have earned. And God guideth not those who reject faith. And the likeness of those who spend their substance, seeking to please God and to strengthen their souls, is as a garden, high and fertile: heavy rain falls on it but makes it yield a double increase of harvest, and if it receives not Heavy rain, light moisture sufficeth it. God seeth well whatever ye do"
(The Noble Quran, 2:264-265)

"And whatever ye spend in charity or devotion, be sure God knows it all. But the wrong-doers have no helpers"
(The Noble Quran, 2:270)

"Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for God loves those who do good"
(The Noble Quran, 3:134)

"Not those who spend of their substance, to be seen of men, but have no faith in God and the Last Day: If any take the Evil One for their intimate, what a dreadful intimate he is!"
(The Noble Quran, 4:38)

"The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of God is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. God giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And God careth for all and He knoweth all things"
(The Noble Quran, 2:261)

Do you understand now? Do not be sad and do not grief. Insya-Allah, everything will be fine in the end. Just remember that whatever you do, do it with ingenuosity and expect nothing in return. Insya-Allah, the return is better than what you expected. Sometimes God does not return it in the same way, but in a better way. Because, Hey, Allah SWT has planned for each and everyone of us! Keep believing and have faith.
Cheers!

The distance between two hearts

A saint asked his disciples 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?'

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'

'But, why shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.
Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To
cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'

Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'

The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.

p/s : this does not only apply for lovers but also for any relationship between humans be it mother-daughter, father-son, bestfriends and etc. I don't own this rhapsody..just sharing what I found with you homosapiens. =)

Cheers! =)

Spirit of Rugby Challenge 2010

Heyya wassup homosapiens! Ah..dah basi baru nak tulis pasal event ne. Haha..For all rugby and American football lovers in Malaysia, did you guys pergi tengok Spirit of Rugby Challenge 2010 last Saturday, 12 June 2010 tak? Rugi sangat lah kalo tak pergi because the game is between the legendary Classic All Blacks (yes..I'm talking about Jonah Lomu here) and World XV. The opening game was between Negeri Sembilan Wanderers Rugby Club (Malaysian Super League Champions) vs Hong Kong Football Club (Hong Kong Grand Final Champions). Event was held at MBPJ Stadium Kelana Jaya which is dekat gila dengan rumah saya. Punyalah rushing dari Putrajaya pergi kenduri my bestfwen kawen sebab tak nak lambat, sekali rupa-rupa nya, stadium tu belakang umah sewa jer. Aiseh..Uncle Amir lah ne..gempaq lebey. Hahaha..

I went to the event with my lil' bro Boy who played rugby for his school team and my brother, Uncle Amir (bukan abang betul, abang tipu-tipu.. =P ). Actually Uncle Amir was the one yang beriya ajak teman dia to the game, since I haven't got anything to do so I agreed. Plus I enjoyed watching sports game be it rugby, football, soccer, squash or other sports. Use to watch ESPN and star Sports with my Abang JD at home all day during Rugby World Cup 2 years back. And then, ada orang belanja tiket kan, lagi seronok. Haha.. Mula-mula it's just me and Uncle then when Boy heard I'm going (I brag to him la of course kan..haha..) so he beg to come along too. Okai, admittedly two kinda lame, so three is awesome. Uncle Amir played for Royal Selangor Club Rugby Team called RSC Dog so the RSC gang will be there too along with the RSC women's team, the Dingo. Spirit of Rugby Challenge 2010 featured four teams with the games of Classib All Blacks and World XV as main event. Siapa tak kenal All Blacks, the legendary New Zealand team who won the first Rugby World Cup kan? The Classic All Blacks is a team featuring the finest players of yesteryear while celebrating the heritage of New Zealand rugby. Yeah..it means Haka and Lomu. Ngeh ngeh ngeh.. The line up for Classic All Blacks include Andrew Mehrtens, Byron Kelleher, Carlos Spencer and yeah, the legendary Jonah Lomu (woot woot). For Uncle, its so-so because he met eye to eye with Lomu at training session in RSC and got to hang out with that big guy too.. (shheeesshhhh..menci!) and for my dear lil' bro, it's like he got the best birthday gift ever for having the opportunity to watch Classic All Blacks in action. Owh..Uncle warned us that it gonna be really HOT and HOT and remind me to bring my sunglasses along and hat or umbrella. But secretly, I know, he wants me to dress up as minimal as possible. Haha..I see through you Unc! bwuek! I kinda assume it would be hot anyway because, well, the games start at 3pm. From my yesteryear athletic experience, I know it's gonna be damn hot..and yes it did. Ah..and no, I didn't wear anything minimal. Gila..pedih owh kalo sunburn! I think I had enough tan for a while. Hehe..

At 3pm, opening game between NS Wanderers, one of the big names in Malaysia's rugby arena vs Hong Kong Football Club starts. Ah..you should see our rugby club in action (no, they are not Malaysian team, they are a rugby club) and they beat Hong Kong Football Club no less. Cool ha? The stadium is half full with rugby fans and when the Classic All Blacks enter the field for warming-up session, the crowd goes wild at the sight of the big man, Jonah Lomu. Gila cool..! Before the game start, the Classic All Black did the ever famous Haka. Ahhhh..GILAAAAAAA BEESSSTTTTTT dapat tengok secara LIVE!

As the game start, it was a bit frustrating because Lomu was not that all action. He just stood at the wing and waited for the ball. Lazy ha? Hahaha.. Ah well, I guess he was bored because everytime he made a move or catches the ball (even when the catch fumble) the crowd goes goo-goo ga-ga after him..and after a while, it does gets a bit annoying. Hee~ In the end, Classic All Blacks tied with World XV with the score 28 all. And guess what, the players walk towards the stadium bench and Lomu started to throw his boots towards the spectators. Damn. Lomu's smelly boot gonna earn quite a fortune okai at e-bay. I wasn't that crazy in taking picture because it was so bloody hot that moving around is kinda perit. Huuuu~ Boy saje yang ke hulur ke hilir, recognizing this player and that. Anyway, got shot by a photographer randomly in the pic below. Try lah cari saya..hehe..Hint : Uncle was laughing dengan gembiranya.  It was one hot Saturday evening full of fun. Thanx a million Uncle sebab belanja entrance tiket. It was super cool..! Next time belanja lagi ha? heee~ And for rugby fans out there yang miss this one of a lifetime (cewahh..konon) event, haihh, go kick youself. THE LEGEND PLAYED ON THAT FIELD AND YOU WASN'T EVEN THERE? Dude, they do the Haka..LIVE okai. Hee~ Till then, chill out everyone. Cheers! *wink*

Choice of Rhythm : The Only Exception - Paramore

To whom it may concern..you know who you are.
You are the only exception.. =)

When I was younger
I saw my daddy cry
And curse at the wind
He broke his own heart
And I watched
As he tried to reassemble it

And my momma swore that
She would never let herself forget
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love
If it does not exist

But darling,
You are the only exception

Maybe I know somewhere
Deep in my soul
That love never lasts
And we've got to find other ways
To make it alone
Keep a straight face

And I've always lived like this
Keeping a comfortable distance
And up until now
I had sworn to myself that I'm
Content with loneliness

Because none of it was ever worth the risk

Well you are the only exception
You are the only exception

I've got a tight grip on reality
But I can't
Let go of what's in front of me here
I know you're leaving
In the morning when you wake up
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream

Ohh..
You are the only exception

And I'm on my way to believing

A Lesson On Privacy

12.15pm

Privacy. I learned it somewhere else other from my home. Being 'granma's pet grandchild' means I am always in the center of every aunts and uncles attention (mostly Aunts, typical women nature to be nosy..hee. Uncles usually mind their own business) and almost everything that I do will be scrutinize under their nose. The good that happened will be spread to wherever Aunts were but the bad, will be spread even faster. In one day, everyone will know everything. Haha. So it means that, I have no privacy. Privacy is unheard of. If handphone was left unattend just for 5mins, ah..there will always one person or another who will pick it up and browse through, especially in Message Inbox. Aha..Imagine how insufferable it is..especially during those teenage years where all you want is do naughty things and be bad-ass, which is always in my nature, a born daredevil. If a diary is left under the pillow or hide under piles of clothers, there will always someone who will find it. Crap. Hahaha..

Privacy, my uncle taught me to respect other people's privacy. It means, no peeking their phone or things which belongs to them without their permission. He never peek on my cousins (his son and daughter, he has two children) stuff, be it handphone or email. When they are on phone, he will not stood beside them to eavesdrop like most parents do incase their children is hiding something from them like hatching some sort of a plan to take over the world or rob a bank. He taught them, me, about trust and respect. Privacy is all about trust and respect. I respect the way he deal with things. All cool and patience. If one of us screw-up, be it his children or his nieces and nephews, he will try to talk to us and understand, the reasons for why does it happened. He will not condemn. He only shows disappointment. A trick I believed he learnt from my granma..which never failed to make this daredevil grand-daughter felt bad for being a naughty girl. Compared to other parents or aunts and uncles who will yelled at you for screwing up, he won't. He will say "things happened, try to make sure it wont happen again.the only person who can change it is you.." and he will pat my head. Not being yelled at, was worse than being yelled at for a rebel at heart like me. And if it was something really bad, he will give you a very firm warning..and that's that. He won't even lift a finger at you unless you are being extremely rude, which in my case is rare unless relentlessly provoke.

I guess, to walk his walk in dealing with things, you need to have a great patience. Privacy comes from trust. Trust comes with patience combined with understanding and respect will be born. Sometimes, you do felt betrayed, when those you trust betrayed you, but then that's what respecting other people privacy save you from, the betrayal. Truth has its way of wanting to be revealed so have some patience and let it be, or you can try to talk to them. Sometimes, there is reason why people do what they do and want to keep it private..try to understand that for whatever reason it is, it is no excuse to pry upon them. That is why, it is called privacy in the first place. You guys can try to apply this in frienship, relationship and marriage. Proudly said, it works..because my uncle's marriage is smooth sailing and his children becomes good person. Isn't that what all of us want in life?

Choice of Rhythm : Gerimis Di Lautan - Sudirman Hj. Arshad

Ah..wassup homosapiens. Hari ne punya Choice of Rhythm, kita back to lagu bahasa ibunda..sy dengar lagu ne while sedang menggosok baju untuk ke ofis pagi tadi. So with no further a due, presenting Choice of Rhythm of the day, by Malaysia's legend, Arwah Sudirman Haji Arshad, a song titled - Gerimis Di Lautan. Tadaaaa...!! Hehe. Happy listening guys. Cheers.. =)

Gerimis di lautan
Mendayung sampan ke kuala
Pada rang bulan pungguk merayu

Menangis kesiangan
Menanggung rindu pada si dia
Apakan daya orang tak mahu

Apalah guna ke bendang
Padi seberang takkan menjadi
Apalah diharap sayang kasihnya orang
Orang tak sudi

Gerimis di lautan
Ku ubati lukaku sendiri
Namun parutnya terpandang jua

Oh biarlah ku sendiri
Oh tinggallah ku kan pergi
Oh biarlah
Oh tinggallah

♥ Lil' Jeorgy Brynner ♥

After sometimes baru sy berkesempatan jumpa si kecik montel yang suka ketawa ne. Jeorgy Brynner Jimin. Last time I met him, he was not even a month old. Now he is 7 month, healthy, charming, cute, suka ketawa and going to be realllyyyy handsome when he grow up. He woke me up at 7.15am today..ergghhh..I had a late nite last nite, tapi Bry punya pasal, x pelah. How can you resist such an adorable charm of a baby kan? Hee~ Bry is my bestie Joc's son. So in someways, he is like me and Ester's godson. Ahh..he is soooo cute sampai kan sy drive pon x tentu hala sebab takot bawak Bry and his Mummy pergi breakfast. Baby on board okai, x bley bawak laju-laju. Heee~ Spent some time wif Bry and Joc today, having breakfast together and just hanging out. When we got back home, Bry was easily drifted into slumber. Haa..itu la, pagi-pagi orang tidow kamu dah bangun, sekarang orang bangun kamu pulak tidow. Hehe.. Here's a poem, a revise version of Jeorgy Porgy's sy spontaneously kept singing for him today, specially for Lil' Bry..

"Jeorgy Brynner pudding and pie,
Kiss the girls and make them sigh.

When the boys came out to play,
Jeorgy Brynner outdid 'em all the way"

Be a good boy now lil' one and don't give your mummy a hard time okai? (Sket-sket x pa..your mom tough.Hihi..). Our friendship came a looonnnggggg way..right Joc?
