Mid-day Blues

12pm

I stared at the blank post body..wondering what I should write (No I aint having any writter's block or what-so-ever) and nothing jump in my mind. Actually so many things jump in that I'm having trouble distincting one topic to another, everything is significant. Everything is as important as the others. Yeah. Life seems to pick up at world record speed, like a MagLev bullet-train with the speed of 581 km/h surfing on the superconductor based rail. The gravity seems to lessen from 9.81m/s to somewhat half, leaving me floating and bouncing with no firm feet on the ground. Everything seems to be going at a very high momentum but with only magnitude and no direction and they flies me by without I couldn't even say 'Heyya!'.. When I woke up the next morn, the memories of last night is a blur. Then life move again. Here we go again..~

Where have the vector of my life went? C'mon direction, do not abandon me just yet. I'm barely 40 okai.. Yeah. Life is a bit dis-array..but I like it now more than I like it then. It is kinda confusing but I guess confusing is better than bitter. Confused means you can't make up your mind whether you feel happy or sad or so-so. Bitter means..well, bitter. And bitter ain't cool, it gives you wrinkles. What is there left to do then? Enjoy the moment I guess, eventually I will know when to pull back and reduce the velocity to a constant speed and yes, re-thinking the direction. The vector of life.

Any-one got a route map or GPS for rent?

Roaming! : Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, Kuala Lumpur

Ola~ Rini sy nak sambung dengan roaming kami seterusnya after visiting Tugu Negara. To where? Aha..Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman. Honestly, kami pon tak taw akan kewujudan memorial neyh. Macam secara tak sengaja terjumpa sebab Tommy main redah masuk simpang, then ada awek seksi dan cun (errr...dari jauh jelah..) lak kat tepi jalan then ada bangunan yang kinda cool, state of the art building, all glasses that got us went "whoaaaa~ cool~" and suddenly bila tengok depan, eyh..Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman. Tak pelah, who knows we would stumble upon something there kan? Lagipun, macam menarik jer tempat tu and if kena bayar tak payah lah masuk. Postive-thinking sangat kan? Sebenarnya, kedekot. Hahaha. So we headed to the main entrance of the building after parking Raven under a tree. At the main entrance, there's this really antique Cadillac, with plat number written 'Perdana Menteri Malaysia'. Cool~ Memang antique betol. Stereng besar gaban. *kagum*

Sila abaikan anasir berbaju hitam yg tengah posing depan kereta. Terima kasih. (^^)Y

Rupa nya, nak masuk memorial ne FOC. Tak payah bayar pon, isi nama dalam guestbook jer. Actually, its optional tapi since kitorang gedik so nak jugak tulis. Hey, bukan selalu kan pergi memorial neyh. It could be a trip of a lifetime. Hee~

Front Desk / Reception Area

Entrance!

Agak menarik jugak lah and a good way to hold visitors' attention since the place are full with info that after a while you get distracted and bored with reading.

Overall this building ada 3 tingkat. Kami tak explore sampai habis sebab..hmm..macam dah distracted sikit plus penat bergelak-ketawa kat Tugu Negara tadi. Sy merayap keluar ke balkoni and discovered that the Memorial is connected to Tunku Abdul Rahman's Residence. This is wayyyyy too cool. So since tak larat nak locate mana Tommy, Alee and Aye, calling-calling jelah and ask them to come upstairs. At the entrance, ada Volvo milik peribadi Tunku yang digunakan beliau semasa hayatnya. Pakcik guard yang menjaga bangunan ne memang friendly and informative. Thanx lah pakcik sebab melayan kerenah tah pape kitorang yang dok 'ooohhhh' and 'wahhhhhhh' all the time because of the awesomeness for being able to see for ourselves the place of living of the man who were responsible for our country's independence. Bangunan Residensi then is connected with bangunan pejabat asal Tunku. Hee..Macam dalam cerita P.Ramlee lah pejabat Tunku. Feels like we're going back to the past.. Dah penat merayap we decided to head home since sy ada appoinment lain. So that's all for now. So after this, korang bleyh lah ke Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman if dah boring hanging out kat shopping mall tuh.. Hee~ Till then..Cheers!

One of the rare posters of the old days~ Cool huh? =)

Choice of Rhythm : Impossible - Shontelle

4.30pm

i remember years ago
someone told me i should take
caution when it comes to love
i did

and you were strong and i was not
my illusion, my mistake
i was careless, i forgot
i did

and now when all is done
there is nothing to say
you have gone and so effortlessly
you have won
you can go ahead tell them

tell them all i know now
shout it from the roof top
write it on the sky line
all we had is gone now

tell them i was happy
and my heart is broken
all my scars are open
tell them what i hoped would be

impossible, impossible
falling out of love is hard
falling for betrayal is worst
broken trust and broken hearts
i know

thinking all you need is there
building faith on love and words
empty promises will wear
i know

and know when all is gone
there is nothing to say
and if you're done with embarrassing me
on your own you can go ahead tell them

tell them all i know now
shout it from the roof top
write it on the sky line
all we had is gone now

tell them i was happy
and my heart is broken
all my scars are open
tell them what i hoped would be

impossible, impossible
ooh impossible (yeah yeah)

i remember years ago
someone told me i should take
caution when it comes to love
i did

tell them all i know now
shout it from the roof top
write it on the sky line

all we had is gone now
tell them i was happy (i was happy)
and my heart is broken
all my scars are open
tell them what i hoped would be

impossible, impossible

i remember years ago
someone told me i should take
caution when it comes to love
i did

Roaming! : Tugu Negara

Hello homosapiens..wassup! How many of you guys has ever set foot at the National Monument and how many of you guys had ever known that Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial exist? Aha..mesti tak ramai kan? For a KLite like me, after 26 years barulah sampai ke Tugu Negara yang letaknya berhadapan dengan Tasik Perdana..and hell yeah, it is kinda embarrassing. Hehe. Tak jauh pon Tugu Negara dengan rumah saya, 20minit pun tak sampai. Cuma mungkin family saya bukanlah jenis sight-seeing family, at least not my Dad.. =) Last week, after karoke session at Green Box, Sungei Wang at the ungodly hour of 10am where Tommy dengan kentalnya woke me up at 8am so we won’t be late (kredit to Cik Aliphant for the invitation to ‘use’ the 2 person+free 1 kepala kupon..which tak guna pon because it is for evening session only), we decided to play tourist and ronda-ronda KL and searching for fun places which..doesn’t requires any entry fees. Nak buat macam mana kan, semua pon kedekot. Haha. We rule out National Museum and KL Tower (some other day ha..) because of the entry fees yang mahal and decided to go to Tugu Negara. Aha! Tak pernah pergi kan, so sure lah excited. FREE lak tuh. Hee~

The Entrance

Tugu Negara, as we learn in national history was build to remember the fighter who fought in the World War 1, World War 2 and the Emergency. It was made of solid bronze (incredible isn’t it? the whole statue is made of BRONZE) and it took almost 3 years to be completed (1963 – 1966). The huge tall bronze figures of soldiers standing and supporting their fallen comrades, which is opposite Lake Gardens, are the work of sculptor Felix de Weldon, who also did Washington’s Iwo Jima Monument and it is regarded as the largest bronze monument grouping in the world. Actually this is not the original Tugu Negara. The original one, was built by the British for the same reason, and was a cenotaph shaped and was originally placed at Jalan Tugu.

The Original Monument - The Cenotaph

The Second Monument

The Tugu Negara was completed and officially opened on February 8, 1966, by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. It was proclaimed a memorial park dedicated to the 11,000 people who died during the 12-year Malayan Emergency (1948-1960). Thereafter, a wreath-laying ceremony takes place at the monument every July 31 on Warriors Day - Source : http://www.wikipedia.com/. Haa..korang tahu tak that every 31st July, negara kita celebrate Hari Pahlawan? Ahaks. Confirm tataw kan? =) . You would not notice it of you didn't look up. The area is enhanced with several ponds and fountains..it lend some tranquility feel to the monument area. When I was there, baru lah terasa semangat patriotik which had long gone due to the life luxury and peace in our country. I pity myself and those who forgot the fight these fallen fighter had been fighting for the sake of us today. Hmmm...~

The view of KL Tower and KLCC from Tugu Negara

Sy rasa cikgu sejarah should organize field trip for students while studying on this chapter so the students will know first hand and see it with their own eyes of our national monument. Setakat belajar teori dalam kelas, mana lah student tak tertido kan? Lalala~ I bet, tak ramai yang tahu that The Cenotaph is the first monument made for the memorial reason jugak. Hehehe. So, sy stop sini dulu for a while untuk korang ponder about the monument and will continue with our next visit to Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial later. Ah..seperti biasa, gambar sengal kami : saya, Cik Aliphant and Mr. Tommy Rudez. Cheers!

Live life to the Fullest!

How Do I Change?

2.30pm

How do I change?

If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labour.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions.

Roaming! : Dataran Merdeka > Spain VS Portugal

5.30pm

Sepatutnya nak tulis semalam, tapi semalam half day and balik awal sebab nak ke klinik. Konon-konon bila sampai rumah, nak update blog. Tapi bese la kan kalo dah balik rumah, apa pon tak jalan..malam nya pulak dah pergi merayap. Bile masa nak tulis entry kan? Time kerja jugak.. (Sowie Bos, kejap jer neh eating blind salary. Hehehe..). On Tuesday, I watched the match between Portugal and Spain at Dataran Merdeka with Cik Aliphant and Incik Tommy Rudez. Sebab nya, Cik Aliphant penyokong tegar team Portugal dan saya, of course lah SPAIN (Viva la Espana!!) jadi since both teams are meeting one another in the match, kitorang decide, ini wajib ditonton bersama dekat port yang menarik. Dah lama dah nak tengok kat Dataran Merdeka, masa Brazil lawan Portugal lagi, tapi ada saje halangan. Kenapa Dataran Merdeka? Skrin dia besar okai..memang puas hati (especially masa David Villa menjaringkan gol..terbaekk~ clear okai! awhh..dan jerawat Ronaldo pon nampak clear jugak). Hehehe.. Thank Alee for the refreshment. Mula-mula ingat kan macam malas nak pergi..yelah, dari Subang nak ke Dataran Merdeka tuh..dekat la sangat kan. Gaji lak tak masuk lagi and saya memang kering betol. Plus game at 2.30am, esok kerja pulak. Saya memain jer. Mana ada nanges-nanges. Jersi Jepun pon tak nampak. Hehe..saje jer buat cerita. Lalala~ =P Tapi memang betol pon kan Jepun kalah. Huhuhu~

Sementara tunggu game, main lah UNO dulu..sambil makan-makan dan golek-golek atas tikar. Port kitorang mesti lah paling tengah and depan skrin tuh. Syok ooo~ Macam tengok movie screen besar. Segala-galanya jelas, walau bulu hidung Ronaldo sekalipun nampak (oppsss~ )..ngeh ngeh ngeh..Makin lama makin penuh kawasan Dataran dengan penyokong-penyokong both teams. We watched the game intently and sekali-sekala saling meng-hanjeng sesama sendiri. Awhh..BTW, si Tommy ne, tetap tak nak reveal team mana sebenarnya yang dia sokong. Rahsia lah konon. Jap macam sokong Germany, jap macam Spain..tah-tah sebenarnya sokong Honduras tapi tak nak ngaku. Huh! Menari Waka-waka semua penyokong team Sepanyol kat Dataran Merdeka. Ngeh ngeh..Err, ne pon saya tipu. Penyokong team Sepanyol menjerit kegembiraan sebab Spain made it to the quarter final. Memang bising abez lah~ Around Dataran pihak DBKL ada letak bola-bola besar as attraction to the area..so as usual, kami bergambar lah dekat bebola tu. Sekali lalu lori DBKL sambil meng-sound kami 'tolong tinggalkan kawasan ini' several times. Potong ar DBKL neh. Macam lah kami nak buat apa-apa..huhu~ So we left the place and membawa haluan masing-masing. Ke-esok kan pagi nya, saya pergi ofis macam biasa manakala Incik Tommy bangun jam 2pm dan Cik Aliphant awal sket, around 12pm. To all readers, final World Cup nanti, jum beramai-ramai ke Dataran Merdeka. Memang tak kan menyesal! See you guys there. Cheers!

 P/s : I just couldn't resist putting these pictures below. Hee~

Hoyeahhhh~ Viva la Espana..!!~
Ai-yuv-yuuuuu..David Villa!!

Jangan nanges yer dik..suro Portugal trening wajin-wajin in next World Cup ya~
