Salut homosapiens! Lei hai pin tou ah? Hope everyone is well and having a blastful Thursday. Thanx for reading my entry..and this is the last and final episode of our Roaming CNY Edition saga.Hehe..Picking up from where I left, where we decided to change and headed to our next destination, Dusun Echo-park. Well, we did changed but we didn’t make it to the said place. Uhuhu~ =( This was all due to the damn crowded changing room and rude people..haih, funny how some parents allowed their offspring to be rude to older people and taught them zero respect. No wonder youngsters nowadays had terrible manners and zero attitudes (like those idiots who played ‘throwing stick’ at us..). I remembered how pissed Floe, Ester and Syah were as they emerged from the changing room. A makcik and her son (which dengan selamber telanjang bulat and later on ran all the way from the changing room to God-knows-where..) was grumbling outside the changing room, giving them snide remarks and making rude knocking noise..typical complained like “orang lain pon nak salin baju jugak..” and “ingat changing room ne korang punye ker..” came out from her. Actually, before our turn, kitorang siap kena tunggu these Indian ladies changed kat dalam nearly half an hour and none of us complained except exchanging annoyed+boring glances now and then, and once in a while compete in making silly faces. Idop kene chill..nak marah-marah jer, nanti lekas tua..huhu~ but some people just have no respect toward others, civility is rare nowadays in our society I guess, just like the Makcik who s’pose to set good example not just to her son but also to us. Floe was rambling all the way to the car, wishing she can give the kid a taste of her skill-ful punch. Uhuh..so we head back to KL, feeling a tad bit of disappointment sebab x dapat main wall-climbing or flying fox..and cursing colourfully to the Makcik and her son and also to those guys yg main baling-baling kayu.. (Uwaaa..nak main jugak-jugak! Uhuks~ ) datz my un-heard screaming dalam hati..hehe..). While I was driving and thinking of a place to fill our grumbling stomach, nearing the Karak highway exit, suddenly Syah, my co-pilot of the day said:
S : “Ester suro bawak pergi Batu Cave”
R.A : “Hah..?? Cari ape kat Batu Cave?”
S : “Tah Ester cakap nak pegi Batu Cave….” *sengih-sengih*
Adda and Anys was snickering at the back. Suke korang ek..
R.A : “ahah..biar betol.erm..yelah..jum lah kite pegi. Adoi..jangan cakap nak naik tangga tu. Tinggi okai..aii..~” *ketawa*
S : “Yelah tuh kot…nak naek tangga tu, nak buat fitness..” *ketawa*
I live in KL for all my breathing life (except for the 3 years of wind changed to Kelantan) and passed the historical; one of Malaysia tourist attraction; a shrine for the Hindus, everytime I went to my aunt’s house or to Damansara, but never once did I succeed in visiting there. Its just a niat and azam, each and everytime. So..on this fateful day, finally, I did went there.. and its all thanx to Sida and Ila, Joc’s visiting sister and kazen from Sabah who only heard of Batu Cave from textbook and wanted to see it themselves. So here’s some of the pics taken around Batu Cave..the stairs are quite steep and adoi..tinggi! Banyak is not a problem but height..YES..to me at least. I couldn’t look back at those behind me without feeling woozy..this is when I sprained my thumbs’ joint. Hadoi..! X pasal-pasal terseliuh ibu jari. Uhu..~ Sneaky Adda decided she didn’t wanna join our recreational and educational activities and decided to stay in the car, waste my fuel and contribute to the growing percentage of CO emission..all by just listening to the radio. Huh!
Pictures at the famous stairs
The famous statute : The world's tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity.
Inside of the cave
Stairs which led to the solarium and another shrine
After reaching the inner most cave, which I believed the most sacred place for the Hindus, we went back down. The inner-most cave has a hole on the roof top, so the sun can shine through it, a solarium. I’m sure during middle of the day; the view in the inner cave is spectacular when the sun shines on top of the hole. Wheww~ pity we aint there to see it. A brief background for you guys on this famous shrine (outside of India) for the Hindus, the shrine at Batu Caves is named Batumalai Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam, a shrine dedicated to the Lord of Murugan (the God of war and the patron deity of the Tamil land) and as we all know, the place where Thaipusam, one of Hindus most celebrated day is held every year. The Thaipusam day itself is dedicated to Him. The cave is a limestone cave (you can tell by the rock peeping out from the vines and a typical types of rock that made up hills found along the highway to the North, mainly in Perak. Most limestone hills contained several caves. Some of other famous limestone caves in Malaysia includes Gua Niah in Sarawak) and was said to age around 400 millions old. For more info on Batumalai Sri Subramaniar Swamy Devasthanam shrine, you can visit this site : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batu_Caves.
After visiting Batu Cave, finally we call it a day and end our roadtrip with dinner at Keramat, somewhere nearby Syah’s house and mine.. (nasib x kantoi ngan Abah.Haha..). After sending Syah home, we headed back to Bangi separately and by the time we reached home, everyone was exhausted and slept like the dead. At least, I know I do. Hehe..All in all it has been one of a fun and educational CNY adventure+roadtrip, plus CHEAP and within our budget. I had a wonderful time with my sisters and my frens and not once did we wish that Ing Hoe, Merl and Yus were there too..
This roadtrip led us to another adventure yang memang SUPER-BEST. Double-serious! Aha..Curious aren’t we? Till the next entry, I let u guys entertain ur curiosity for a while. See u guys around *wink*
Cheers to friendship, fun and more adventure to come!
KAMPAI..!!
Friendship : Forever seems like such a long time..let us stick to ALWAYS shall we? =)
