Squash : 13th Raintree International Jumbo Squash Doubles Competition

10.37 am

Participated in this tourney with sparring partner, Luqman under team name of T-Rex. HAHA. Such an ambitious name. This is our first time playing in a double competition because we are actually a single player and man, it was super fun and seriously, we were hooked hands down! The tournament consists of a mass of fun and familiar faces, a bunch of muscle aches and free flow of foods, not to mention playing squash randomly with everybody all day till you want to die. Since I am a player, consuming too much food will somehow effect my game, so I was restraining myself until my last match of the day and eat like nobody's business. Little sister Anys came along for support, konon-kononnya, but actually she was always tagging along whenever I went for a tournament and was scoffing on those pastries and sandwiches like a pig. Boring study katanya, nak cuci mata watching the nationals junior players *eye rolled*. Too bad her partner in crime, my little brother Boy went to watch rugby matches and unable to join her or else, all hell will go loose. At least my hell. She made it a point to tell everyone how I am her 'adorable gemok pendek sister' whenever my friend made a remark 'Wahhh Anys tingginya!'. Impertinent little sister aren't you Anys. Pffttt!

Black+White : Training session with Luq and adapting my cool-all-new Technifibre white eyeglasses

Though this is our first experience in playing doubles, both of our combined (Luqman and Me) strength made us 'the underdog to be watched'. Jangan main-main! Hahaha. We made it as far as to the semis but lose both sets in sudden death. Bummer. The opponent won against us with only just one point! Kecewa betul. Anyway, I am proud to be the player who scored most of our points in both matches and manage to wow the spectator with some of my signature killer shots. Its funny to look at Anys face which was full of amazement and gaping in awe when the crowd cheered. Hahaha. Close your mouth Anys or you'll choke on a lalat later. Nevertheless, we still lose but hey, it's the most exciting experience ever! and we can always win again next year right? :) Next doubles tourney will be on February in Singapore, then in Bangkok and Singapore again then back to Malaysia, and I was proposed by 3 clubs to play for their team in this coming RSC Tiger Trophy Open Tournament. Teehehehe. Felt like some hotshot football player who was fought over by Man U, Chelsea and Man City. I was still considering the options though because I like to be in the underdog team, with those I usually trained and sparred with. Less pressure on winning and more about fun but if I wanted to play seriously, I'd better choose one of those clubs because if the club are sending us to play oversea, half of the expenses will be covered. Jimat! And team entrance fees are usually fully sponsored. How cool is that? Entrance fees ain't cheap for squash tourney. Tiger Trophy itself cost a team RM300 per entrance. So I'd better make up my mind about joining those clubs because I am seriously lookin' forward for the coming Tiger Trophy and the first jumbo in Singapore. Can't wait! :)

The underdog : T-Rex team and our own self-designed and self-made shirt. Kau ado? XP

Roaming! : Dataran Merdeka > Spain VS Portugal

5.30pm

Aha..yes, saya memang sengaja letak gambar ne sebagai opening untuk entry saya. Entry ne lambat sehari. Sepatutnya nak tulis semalam, tapi semalam half day and balik awal sebab nak ke klinik. Konon-konon bila sampai rumah, nak update blog. Tapi bese la kan kalo dah balik rumah, apa pon tak jalan..malam nya pulak dah pergi merayap. Bile masa nak tulis entry kan? Time kerja jugak.. (Sowie Bos, kejap jer neh eating blind salary. Hehehe..). On Tuesday, I watched the match between Portugal and Spain at Dataran Merdeka with Cik Aliphant and Incik Tommy Rudez. Sebab nya, Cik Aliphant penyokong tegar team Portugal dan saya, of course lah SPAIN (Viva la Espana!!) jadi since both teams are meeting one another in the match, kitorang decide, ini wajib ditonton bersama dekat port yang menarik. Dah lama dah nak tengok kat Dataran Merdeka, masa Brazil lawan Portugal lagi, tapi ada saje halangan. Kenapa Dataran Merdeka? Skrin dia besar okai..memang puas hati (especially masa David Villa menjaringkan gol..terbaekk~ clear okai! awhh..dan jerawat Ronaldo pon nampak clear jugak). Ala-ala picnic lak kan kitorg siap dengan tikar besar punya..dan juga makanan hasil air tangan Cik Aliphant berupa roti milo dan nugget serta drummet. Saya dan Tommy Rudez bawak perut jer. Hehehe.. Thank Alee for the refreshment. Mula-mula ingat kan macam malas nak pergi..yelah, dari Subang nak ke Dataran Merdeka tuh..dekat la sangat kan. Gaji lak tak masuk lagi and saya memang kering betol. Plus game at 2.30am, esok kerja pulak. Saya memain jer. Mana ada nanges-nanges. Jersi Jepun pon tak nampak. Hehe..saje jer buat cerita. Lalala~ =P Tapi memang betol pon kan Jepun kalah. Huhuhu~

Sementara tunggu game, main lah UNO dulu..sambil makan-makan dan golek-golek atas tikar. Port kitorang mesti lah paling tengah and depan skrin tuh. Syok ooo~ Macam tengok movie screen besar. Segala-galanya jelas, walau bulu hidung Ronaldo sekalipun nampak (oppsss~ )..ngeh ngeh ngeh..Makin lama makin penuh kawasan Dataran dengan penyokong-penyokong both teams. Happening lah jugak..yang makcik-makcik, pakcik-pakcik pon ada..Hehehe~ We watched the game intently and sekali-sekala saling meng-hanjeng sesama sendiri. Awhh..BTW, si Tommy ne, tetap tak nak reveal team mana sebenarnya yang dia sokong. Rahsia lah konon. Jap macam sokong Germany, jap macam Spain..tah-tah sebenarnya sokong Honduras tapi tak nak ngaku. Huh! Tapi pada malam game, dia menyokong Spain (Yesssss..ada geng meng-hanjeng. HAHA). Pukol 4.30 game habis dengan kemenangan berpihak kepada Sepanyol (Hoyeahhhhh~). Menari Waka-waka semua penyokong team Sepanyol kat Dataran Merdeka. Ngeh ngeh..Err, ne pon saya tipu. Penyokong team Sepanyol menjerit kegembiraan sebab Spain made it to the quarter final. Memang bising abez lah~ Around Dataran pihak DBKL ada letak bola-bola besar as attraction to the area..so as usual, kami bergambar lah dekat bebola tu. Sekali lalu lori DBKL sambil meng-sound kami 'tolong tinggalkan kawasan ini' several times. Potong ar DBKL neh. Macam lah kami nak buat apa-apa..huhu~ So we left the place and membawa haluan masing-masing. Ke-esok kan pagi nya, saya pergi ofis macam biasa manakala Incik Tommy bangun jam 2pm dan Cik Aliphant awal sket, around 12pm. To all readers, final World Cup nanti, jum beramai-ramai ke Dataran Merdeka. Memang tak kan menyesal! See you guys there. Cheers!

 P/s : I just couldn't resist putting these pictures below. Hee~

Hoyeahhhh~ Viva la Espana..!!~
Ai-yuv-yuuuuu..David Villa!!

Jangan nanges yer dik..suro Portugal trening wajin-wajin in next World Cup ya~

Spirit of Rugby Challenge 2010

Heyya wassup homosapiens! Ah..dah basi baru nak tulis pasal event ne. Haha..For all rugby and American football lovers in Malaysia, did you guys pergi tengok Spirit of Rugby Challenge 2010 last Saturday, 12 June 2010 tak? Rugi sangat lah kalo tak pergi because the game is between the legendary Classic All Blacks (yes..I'm talking about Jonah Lomu here) and World XV. The opening game was between Negeri Sembilan Wanderers Rugby Club (Malaysian Super League Champions) vs Hong Kong Football Club (Hong Kong Grand Final Champions). Event was held at MBPJ Stadium Kelana Jaya which is dekat gila dengan rumah saya. Punyalah rushing dari Putrajaya pergi kenduri my bestfwen kawen sebab tak nak lambat, sekali rupa-rupa nya, stadium tu belakang umah sewa jer. Aiseh..Uncle Amir lah ne..gempaq lebey. Hahaha..

I went to the event with my lil' bro Boy who played rugby for his school team and my brother, Uncle Amir (bukan abang betul, abang tipu-tipu.. =P ). Actually Uncle Amir was the one yang beriya ajak teman dia to the game, since I haven't got anything to do so I agreed. Plus I enjoyed watching sports game be it rugby, football, soccer, squash or other sports. Use to watch ESPN and star Sports with my Abang JD at home all day during Rugby World Cup 2 years back. And then, ada orang belanja tiket kan, lagi seronok. Haha.. Mula-mula it's just me and Uncle then when Boy heard I'm going (I brag to him la of course kan..haha..) so he beg to come along too. Okai, admittedly two kinda lame, so three is awesome. Uncle Amir played for Royal Selangor Club Rugby Team called RSC Dog so the RSC gang will be there too along with the RSC women's team, the Dingo. Spirit of Rugby Challenge 2010 featured four teams with the games of Classib All Blacks and World XV as main event. Siapa tak kenal All Blacks, the legendary New Zealand team who won the first Rugby World Cup kan? The Classic All Blacks is a team featuring the finest players of yesteryear while celebrating the heritage of New Zealand rugby. Yeah..it means Haka and Lomu. Ngeh ngeh ngeh.. The line up for Classic All Blacks include Andrew Mehrtens, Byron Kelleher, Carlos Spencer and yeah, the legendary Jonah Lomu (woot woot). For Uncle, its so-so because he met eye to eye with Lomu at training session in RSC and got to hang out with that big guy too.. (shheeesshhhh..menci!) and for my dear lil' bro, it's like he got the best birthday gift ever for having the opportunity to watch Classic All Blacks in action. Owh..Uncle warned us that it gonna be really HOT and HOT and remind me to bring my sunglasses along and hat or umbrella. But secretly, I know, he wants me to dress up as minimal as possible. Haha..I see through you Unc! bwuek! I kinda assume it would be hot anyway because, well, the games start at 3pm. From my yesteryear athletic experience, I know it's gonna be damn hot..and yes it did. Ah..and no, I didn't wear anything minimal. Gila..pedih owh kalo sunburn! I think I had enough tan for a while. Hehe..

At 3pm, opening game between NS Wanderers, one of the big names in Malaysia's rugby arena vs Hong Kong Football Club starts. Ah..you should see our rugby club in action (no, they are not Malaysian team, they are a rugby club) and they beat Hong Kong Football Club no less. Cool ha? The stadium is half full with rugby fans and when the Classic All Blacks enter the field for warming-up session, the crowd goes wild at the sight of the big man, Jonah Lomu. Gila cool..! Before the game start, the Classic All Black did the ever famous Haka. Ahhhh..GILAAAAAAA BEESSSTTTTTT dapat tengok secara LIVE!

As the game start, it was a bit frustrating because Lomu was not that all action. He just stood at the wing and waited for the ball. Lazy ha? Hahaha.. Ah well, I guess he was bored because everytime he made a move or catches the ball (even when the catch fumble) the crowd goes goo-goo ga-ga after him..and after a while, it does gets a bit annoying. Hee~ In the end, Classic All Blacks tied with World XV with the score 28 all. And guess what, the players walk towards the stadium bench and Lomu started to throw his boots towards the spectators. Damn. Lomu's smelly boot gonna earn quite a fortune okai at e-bay. I wasn't that crazy in taking picture because it was so bloody hot that moving around is kinda perit. Huuuu~ Boy saje yang ke hulur ke hilir, recognizing this player and that. Anyway, got shot by a photographer randomly in the pic below. Try lah cari saya..hehe..Hint : Uncle was laughing dengan gembiranya.  It was one hot Saturday evening full of fun. Thanx a million Uncle sebab belanja entrance tiket. It was super cool..! Next time belanja lagi ha? heee~ And for rugby fans out there yang miss this one of a lifetime (cewahh..konon) event, haihh, go kick youself. THE LEGEND PLAYED ON THAT FIELD AND YOU WASN'T EVEN THERE? Dude, they do the Haka..LIVE okai. Hee~ Till then, chill out everyone. Cheers! *wink*

Grand Finale MASUM 2009

1 pm

Actually event ne dah lama, dah sebulan kot. Bila view gambar and komen-komen geng-geng squash kat FB tiba-tibe rasa nak letak entry neh. During Sirkit 1 and 2 sy x pergi tengok dorang main sebab jauh sangat tempat event diadakan. So, when Grand Finale was being held kat UiTM Shah Alam, and atas desakan geng-geng squash, so sy datanglah jenguk dorang lawan. Sambil jenguk sempat lah jugak main game with them. Teringat time study dulu when sy aktif organize friendly and training with Nora and Munie. Sy rasa, sapa-sapa yang play sports, sure akan tahu how strong the bond between teammates and players is. Bila rajin training sama-sama, dah jadi macam kakak-adik. Ada sharing session and lepak together session, regardless korang study in which varsity. Arena dunia squash kecik aje sure akan rub shoulder wherever you go, I mean during tournament especially if you are one of the best or one of the favourite person among the players. Muka sama jer. The difference is, junior or senior. Yang pasti, kitorang memang bonded. So if you are a newbie and ada hati nak cari gaduh or buat pasal, better think twice, our bond is STRONG. When I said STRONG, I MEAN strong.

With the girls

Event ne diadakan during week-end, 2 hari. Biasalah, kalo main single memang makan masa lama. 5 games per player, sayang nya UKM x hantar team ke MASUM. Reasons mereka, x da budget and sy pon malas nak amek tahu. If not, then sy yang kena coach and manage team UKM. Err..dah grad dah okai, tapi sebenarnya suka jer coaching dorang. It gives me a sense of purpose in life. Tahniah to Kace sebab berjaya co-ordinate event dengan jaya nya (previously he is UiTM squash player and sekarang dah jadi staff Pusat Sukan UiTM) sebab event went smoothly (pada pandangan sy). Refree, cam besa diimport dari Angkatan Tentera Malaysia sebab dorang strict sket handle player yang banyak ragam ne. Hehe.. Hari Sabtu sy datang petang sebab Erna ugut nak merajuk if sy x datang. Mengada kan? Ye mereka memang manja dan mengada-ngada dengan sy. Hehe..Sy pergi hari sabtu and heret Irah sekali. Hee~ Thanx Irah sebab teman Kak Azx. I really appreciate it! =) Hari Sabtu, dorang ne qualifying jer, tentukan ranking, so sapa-sapa yang dah abez game, ne lah aktiviti dorang:

Selain dari main squash, main kad is our favourite past time. Or in other word, main judi (konon..)

X cukup ngan main kad kat court, sambung kat kedai mamak. Haihhh~

Hehe..nak buat cane, kalo ngah kem intensif training MASUM pon, ne lah aktiviti kitorang. Pastu siap challenge dengan team badminton/team-team lain (ne keja Erna, Nora and Heather, taik judi tegar dalam team). Masalahnye, kalo menang x pelah jugak ne balik bilik dalam keadaan kalah. Aiyaa..bikin malu woo! Siap kena kutuk plak kan dengan team lain yang lalu tepi bilik untuk pergi training. Hahaha.. Final diadakan pada petang Ahad, sekali harung dengan closing ceremony. Sy terpaksa bangun awal sebab dah janji dengan Aina, Van and Wawa nak main squash before final start. This time, x heret Irah, pandai-pandai lah raba sendiri mana nak cari UiTM. Siap sesat okai! Too many roundabout and all of 'em is identical, at least from my eyes. Huhuhu~

Shila tengah warming down by Ucop. Shila and Erna battling in court.

Aina and sape tah.Hehe~

Masa Grand Finale hari tuh, as expected Jang menang over Ezzi. Hehe..I guess experience plays a big role in a person's game. Jang @ Nafzahizam was Malaysia's No.4 but now has already retired from professional arena with highest rank of 99 (PSA) and Ezzi still continue playing half-professionally. Hehe..For women, Munie lose against Shila but then again it was a tough fight between them. Since Shila is playing at Home, so sokongan penyokong lebih sket lah compared to Munie (UPM). Since both are adik-adik sy, so tataw nak support sapa. Terpaksa jadi lalang jap, kejap sokong Munie, kejap sokong Shila. Hehe..Other senior yang datang, of course lah Sa @ Shahril (another ex-national player) who rushes all the way from Jalan Duta after coaching session and Mat De yang teman wife dia Munie lawan. Seronok lah dapat jumpa dorang ne. Yelah, right now masing-masing kinda busy. Me myself kadang-kadang went to UPM and have dinner with Aina, Van and Wawa, tu pon x selalu. Busy dengan kerja..and masalah peribadi. I wish I spent more time with them!

Congratz to yang menang and yang berjaya make it to top 16. Nyampah lah sebab memang dah taw, korang jugak yang confirm menang. Hahaha..Owh this pic below is gambar dengan geng-geng squash, sayang sangat Nora x da sebab ada tournament Rugby somewhere overseas. Yeah, Nora dah beralih bidang dari squash to rugby. Anyhow, tetap sayang Nora. Hee~ Have a nice day readers. Bersukan lah untuk kesihatan badan and..Majulah Sukan untuk Negara! Cheers!

SUKEM - Squash event

SUKEM : January 23 - January 24

Tiap-tiap tahun sy jadi atlet. Tiap-tiap tahun sambil jadi atlet sy jadi refree. Skang ne, dah abiz study..pon kene jadi refree jugak. Refree konon? Kali ne punye SUKEM, secara tiba-tiba kena jadi penyalaras ad-hoc. Cane eh tu..mula-mula inform suro jadi refree jer..bila sy dtg dat Saturday mowning, dengan muka baru bangun tido (fresh from shower) with my short+shirt, players dah warm-up (i was half an hour late pulak..hehe.aku kan refree.lalala~), tengok-tengok xde officer pon..and the only person yang experienced enough to handle+manage event ne at the squash complex..is.. (horror!)..ME..adoi. Annoyed sungguh masa tuh! Dalam hati, i went like, WTH? aku ker yang kene co-ordinate SUKEM?? Kalo ye pon, nape la x inform awal-awal..i dunt have a single damn clue 'bout what's happening. Mode of playing..draw..qualifying..and to be honest i was so bloody blur sebab baru bangun tido. Plus this is WEEK-END beb..The only 2 day of the week sy bleh rehat-rehat doing laundry and all..siap dah plan nak balik rumah KL, bawak my lil' bro Boy outing and jalan-jalan cari makan. Haih..macam-macam la korang ne! So, nak x nak i have to handle the event by my own. Lucky anak-anak buah player MASUM is around and ever so loyal in carrying out my order. At this moment, i so wish that Toby or Amri is around..haih..nape la korang kije jauh sangat.. =( Then, Hadzli from Pusat Sukan datang bagi score sheet and squash ball (Thanx Li..) and jadual pertandingan. Dia pon clue-less jugak pasal squash..and so does most of officer kt Pusat Sukan..so not their fault la pon kan. All this while pon, team UKM sy yang jaga. Haihh..i can see today will be a longggg~ day..so instead of grumpying and whining around, best get things started and make the best of everything.What-ever..

While studying the fucking jadual, i was wondering who the hell yang handle meeting during phase of explaining rules and all. And when it comes to the phase of carrying out the event, suddenly sy pulak kene handle. Macam haram? Agak ar..what-ever. So, mode of playing is team event. The draw is already done. Score sheet dah ade.Bola dah ade.Court in good-condition.Time to welcome the team, explaining the rules, team registration and..get the ball rolling. Alhamdulillah, things went smoothly. Every player gave me full co-operation..(sure cam takot kan sebab sy agak menyinga pagi tuh..haha..tegas beb, gua tegas. Ask my player for the confirmation) and full respect (korang x caya ker sy adalah co-ordinator game? Haha..) Everything goes according to jadual and my estimation, during the first day and the second day.

Though cam menyirap sebab secara tiba-tiba kena jadi co-ordianator, but i had fun joking around with my juniors and refreeing their game. Macam-macam gaya ade ne masa match.Hehehe..kelakar okai! Sy dok kat atas tuh, konon muka serious tapi Tuhan jer taw la cane nak tergelak tengok dorang dalam court. So the winner of SUKEM 2009/2010 for Squash Game is KTSN and 1st runner up goes to KBH (Auummmm~).
Bangga la when tengok Kong, Yazid, A'mmar, Hariz, Iqa, Lee and Din punya match. They improved damn a lot..hehe..x sia-sia kena membebel+denda+tengking+maki ngan Kak Azx yek? hahaha.. Thanx to korang jugak for helping around and bantu jadi refree..dah pandai ya ada team spirit? *wink*. Special thanx to Abg Fizan and Hadzli from Unit Sukan sebab sudi datang jenguk huru-hara ke x court squash tu bawah jagaan sy.hehehe. Owh..Elaun nanti sy datang amek! ngeh ngeh ngeh...

Next? i was thinking about calling the short-listed player to compete for MASUM selection AND..the most awaited event, Kejohanan Squash Tertutup UKM Piala Dato' Hood. Ramai ternanti-nanti kejohanan tuh..sabar ye korang. Insya-Allah, if tiada aral-melintang after MASUM, around end of February boleh la lakasanakan event tuh (aiseh..aku jugak la ne kene shuffle back and forth from UKM to PJ..tapi x pe, Santa got many trusted lil' helper.Hihihi~). Kena dapat approval from tuan punya piala sendiri, Ayahanda Dato' Hood dulu..Till then, rajin-rajin la meriahkan court squash UKM tuh okai?

Cheers! *wink*

Edwin Van Der Sar - My Hero!

Edwin Van Der Sar

There have been plenty of pretenders to Peter Schmeichel’s throne since his abdication in 1999. But few have graced the number 1 jersey with such quality and consistency as Edwin van der Sar. The two differ in style. Schmeichel was famed for bellowing at his back four as well as his brilliant saves. Edwin, however, uses his experience and calm assurance to great effect. Edwin has all the wisdom and know-how between the sticks that you would expect of a goalkeeper that is his nation’s most-capped player and a former UEFA Cup (1992) and Champions League (1995) winner with his first club Ajax in the early nineties.

He also won four league titles and three domestic cups with the Amsterdam outfit, before spending two seasons in Serie A with Juventus. Gianlugi Buffon’s arrival at the Stadio delle Alpi resulted in van der Sar's £5million switch to Fulham in 2001 at the outset of the Londoners’ Premier League adventure, but after four seasons at Craven Cottage United came knocking. Van der Sar was 34 when he arrived at Old Trafford in 2005 but old father time has dulled neither his ambition nor his influence. Age is not a problem, far from it. He kept an incredible 24 clean sheets in allcompetitions in 2007/08 as the Reds retained the Premier League title and won the Champions League for the first time since Schmeichel departed after the '99 final. His penalty save from Nicolas Anelka in the 2008 final in Moscow is forever etched in United history.

Even better form was to come in 2008/09 when Edwin played 1,311 minutes in the league without conceding a goal - between Nasri's strike for Arsenal on 8 November 2008 and Peter Lovenkrands' opener for Newcastle on 4 March 2009. This remarkable feat set a new standard for English, British and European football - with some reports labelling it a world record for a single season. Edwin's United deal was extended in December 2008 to keep him at Old Trafford for one last season, 2009/10. In that same month, he helped the Reds to win the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.

While Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak waited in the wings for their chance, Edwin's experience kept him in pole position for League and Champions League fixtures. In April 2009, he was effectively named best goalkeeper in the Barclays Premier League when his fellow professionals voted him into the PFA Team of the Year - source from http://www.manutd.com/.

He saves! *drool*

Why him? why not Rooney or Evra or Vidic? My taste in guys sux..haha. No, Van Der Sar is like..the saviour of the day.If Foster is in front of the goal, adoi..it would make malaikat Atid geleng kepala tulis dosa saye sebab mencarut..berdebar okai watching Foster.. (so i curse..gotta problem with that? at least i don't pretend like certain people.Boo!)..and i think he is good-looking (in Dutch kind of way..hee~) though not very muscular or tanned (like the type of guy i like..) but still..he is cool. Manchester United could have all the best striker in the world but if the goalie sux, then the team will still sux..

Yeah, c'mon Van Der Sar, save more next time.By the way..he looks good in baby blue..ngee~ *wink*
